PostSubject: Found this useful website for potential sites   Found this useful website for potential sites EmptyTue May 12, 2009 10:00 am

Hi all

This is a really useful site for finding some potential venues for investigation.

http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/index.php

Now I'm not sure that people get permission to go in but am sure it's possible.

Some potentials (down here at least)

http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=10762
http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=9715

Anyway there are LOADS on there. Sadly not sorted by area but you can't win them all. And am sure more investigation and trying to get permissions would be some work but it's def worth considering for the future!

Cheers

Peaf

Great links Peaf. I have seen this site before and there are some fantastic locations. Many of them however are not accessible and guarded by security or owned by developers....Worth a try though. Wink

Great site but I spent far too long sucked in to the posts instead of getting on with my work Rolling Eyes

@ Barri - thougth that may be the case! Would be a challenge to do an investigation being chased by a German Shepherd me thinks!

@ Bongo, I know what you mean, really interesting what folks do with their spare time.....wonder if they'd say the same about us?!

I suppose it begs the question are places where people still live more active than those that are empty?! Do 'ghosts' need the living to 'survive'?!

I donīt think so... the energy of the living might make them stronger, but i am sure that ghost are connected to places or people ... when they are connected to people, they often leave as soon as the the living person dies.... when they are connected to a place of whatever reason, it doesnīt matter if itīs derilict or not... they roam the place in anyway... the theory is, that they see the place the way it used to be when they were alive ... i sometimes doubt that, they must at least get a glance of the place the way it looks now... why would there be an increase in activity so often, when a house is changed, walls being knocked down or extensions been built ....
