GPS will be investigating the famous Bodmin jail tonight, over the last couple of years this has become one of our favourite places to investigate that we have investigated , lets hope that we can get some good EVP's and maybe even get that bed to move once again.

We had a an interesting night at the jail last night , with some strange personal experiences including a rather hostile incident in the long room , i just remember being stood there in quite a daze , then the next thing i remember is Cliff with his hand on the back of my head asking if i was okay, after we got back to the hub, jamie one of the guys with a camcorder told me that i had been behaving rather strangely during the vigil , but i can't remember much of it to be honest which concernes me.

Yes, that happened while I was with Jason (from the PDU) up on the third floor at the door where the pushed out the convicts to hang them.
Quite interesting what he picked up ... a young woman (early 20's) who was imprisoned in 1782 for adultery. She died there of starvation, but she also told him, that it was her that I saw when we visited the Jail in March for our help for heroes event. I am trying to research her name etc now and also asked Mark from the jail to look her up in his lists.
Another personal experience of mine was when Luke, Claire and I went to the long room. I stood with the back to the last cell on the right, rearranging my equipment, when I felt a tap on my shoulder and heard something like a hiss right behind me. Guys that really made me jump... I literally jumped into Luke's arms, shrieked and turned him so he stood between the cell and me Not really the right reaction, I know Sorry for that, Luke
Later I recalled from Mark's intro, that the spirit in the cell (or the one that tends to touch, startle or attack people) is that of a strangler, who prefers blondes... Nice one
I still have to go through my EVP's , so fingers crossed, that we have captured something there.
Another thing were the moving shadows/figures that we kept on seeing at the far end of the long room (also where the cell with my close encounter was)... I've marked it on the DVR list, so the PDU can check it when they go through their footage. I also think that Jamie might have captured a looming shadow behind Carol or Helen (PDU)... let's wait and see.
It was a very eventful night, time flew by and the night was over in no time.

Ok, here we go... the first EVP I've captured. Am still going through all my video and am editing as I go rather than watch the lot and write down the sections the edit..
Here you will hear a sobbing noise as myself and Claire head down the stairs. There does also seem to be something else as we approach the stairs when I say 'yeah' but I cannot make it out.. the sobbing noise is near the end..
Odd light seems to come from nowhere.. hard to say what it is but there is no movement from anyone back there and no other sources of light. adding it just in case...

Could the flash be a distant vehicle? After it fades the surrounding backdrop lights up momentarily- as it would as a car turns a corner or heads up a hill...

Hiya Robb
That's a dead end down there.. completely blocked off.. Only windows nearby are tiny windows in the cells that are high up the wall

this is great. at the first video , at the end, you can hear the typical sound of an evp. the secood video , it maybe shows a soul that is trying to manifest itself in this world for a short moment. great captures!!!!!

I also think we can hear an EVP in the first video.
The second one: Was there a member of your team? It looks like a flashlight to me, not sure.
But great captures!

Hi Steve,
Great videos!
The EVP one I can't explain.
But I might have an explanation for the flash. The back wall is painted with a shiny paint as far as I remember, so the flash could well be the reflection of an IR light from one of the cams.
I will check if I have a photo of the area that might confirm my theory.

Thx Hella..
I threw it out to you lot just in case it was something.. not a problem if it is nothing.. but you never know..
The EVP is great.. Am very surprised to have caught that but now that this is the third EVP caught on my new camera.. Makes me wonder what else there is.. am going over some footage now

Well, not too sure what to make of this noise.. sounds like a long drawn out breath.. I thought that perhaps I yawned but it really does not sound like a yawn to me..

After having a look at a photo of the long room , i would say that it's to far left to be a reflection of an IR light on the back door and there would be a wider disperse from the reflection of an IR light you could only get that kind of pattern if it was reflecting off a glass panel , and there are no glass panels in that room.
@Robb
Hi mate hope you are well , it cannot be a reflection from a vehicle due to the fact that we are under ground in the basement and the prison is surrounded by high walls so we can rule that out 100%.
This is an interesting one .

Am seriously not sure what to make of this noise..
At first I thought it was a table being dragged...but then there is a thump after it.. What do you make of it?

Hi guys,
Ahhh, ok. I assumed it was outdoors... Interesting. So how far away is the end of the room? Is is brick? Any equipment or anything that might reflect light down there, or just stone? Would be good to have a picture in daylight... anyone have anything in personal archives?
Ian, I'm very busy as usual, working on a new series. Looking forward to catching up hopefully this winter! Would like to come down to Devon sometime, London is no place for a country boy 12 months a year
