Sensitivity through illness Empty
PostSubject: Sensitivity through illness   Sensitivity through illness EmptySat Apr 04, 2009 2:50 pm

Hi Bongo

After a terrifying few hours at the cinema last night, it was said in the film I saw that people who are suffering serious illness are more sensitive to spirit because they are closer to passing over themselves. I wondered what your thoughts are on this ?

thanks

I believe that theory may be possible also. I have also heard that babies and old people are also more sensitive as they are nearer to death or rebirth etc...

so does this relate to them having no inhibitions and having more acceptance? is it due to being relaxed?or is that because illness make someone more open? struggling with this!!!

Hiya
This is a very interesting subject and in my experience there appear to be more than a few situations in the realm of human experience that automatically make an individual more sensitive and open.

Those that have been told to me a real life incidences include.....

General Anaesthetics
Trauma - both emotional and physical
Accidents
Bereavement
Serious Illness

A friend of mine who specialises in Past Life Regression, Hynotherapy and attachment removal has told me that these are the times we are most likely to have energy forms that don't belong to us "hitching a ride" so to speak. We are vulnerable at these times and I feel our natural ability to protect ourselves is weakened.

I also believe Barri that babies and small children are very sensitive to the unseen as they are closer to the source. I also witnessed many times when I was working in terminal nursing, that the patient would both see and speak to loved ones that had died previously prior to their own passing.

There is an interesting book called Soul Retrieval by Sandra Ingerman which talks about fragments of the soul leaving the body during times of emotional and physical trauma. This has been a long held belief in tribal systems throughout the world and the Shaman would travel in trance to retrieve these lost parts and return them to the individual concerned, restoring them to fullness.

I could go on all night as this subject totally fascinates me, but its gone 3.30am and I have to sleep !

Hi B,

That was a fantastic reply. It has given me food for thought. Thank you for your wisdom once again.
Toni, it may worth getting hold of a copy of that book. Wink

PostSubject: Could be...   Sensitivity through illness EmptySun Apr 05, 2009 9:57 pm

I personaly incounter strange moments from time to time, especially when my emotions are unbalanced.

I holousinate (pardon the spelling) when very stressed emotionally, seems to be at night, so, not sure if its in my mind or for real.
ie. a spirit etc

Strange, because variouse people have felt/seen strange things at the same moment as one of my halousination (again sorry for my spelling lol)

Was actually speaking to Bongo about this on the Moerton investigation.

Interesting stuff !!

Ahh... one thing, a point for the other question about Poltergeists>>> If its nothing to do with a spirit or ghost & is mearly the energy given off by the indervidual, then The poltergeist films are totaly incorrect wouldnt you say???

Hi Bongo -

with regards to the 5 situations you have listed above, do you think that the openess comes about because generally all inhibition is lost under these circumstances?

PostSubject: Re: Sensitivity through illness   Sensitivity through illness EmptyMon Apr 20, 2009 11:24 pm

Hmmmm my personal feeling is that this isnt linked to inhibition, more an autonomic response.

Peope who believe that parts of the soul (spiritual parts as opposed to physical parts) leave the body at times of trauma, pain or shock etc, would say that there is a separation as these parts try to survive the experience. Many have reported on near death experiences where they have lost all vital signs, and whilst moving away from their dead physical body have been able to view events from the outside whilst in an astral or etheric body, to where they feel their soul or spiritual part have transferred. This is also a common occurence with people experiencing severe abuse.

As a medium, when I prepare myself to link with spirit and bring through information, I raise my energetic frequency ie lower my physical function and expand the spiritual element within me....this is what happens in meditation, yoga etc and in this way I am able to open up to energies that I would normally be unaware of. Drugs, shock and trauma can automatically cause this to happen but in an uncontrolled way.

Hope that makes sense Smile
