EVP software?

hi guys, after my investigation of mitford castle near morpeth northumberland last night, i caught some possible evp. i can hear a humming of singing from a female voice and when calling out got some questions answered, there are others but thet were so faint they were hard to make out, this included a wistling in tune which was interesting..

what i want to know is what type of software is best to clean these up and get rid of the nast white noise etc?

i saw these on ebay, any recomendations..

i have no idea on those but i use exp audio editor you can download it free online.

do you get really good results using that dude? they're really faint whispers, i nearly have to blow my ears off with the phones to hear them, especially with me calling out and the other background noise..

Myself and Ian, use Cool Edit Pro V.2.1

It is not free, but if you would like a copy you may be able to find it online in a (Jack Sparrow) kind of way lol...

btw, when using a digi voice recorder, is it best to attach a mic? if so which ones are widely used, mainley for outside work..
