Hi All

Have you guys tried Ufton Court in Berkshire? Its a good location and big, not sure if they will take teams but if you approached them on an events prospect/charity, it might work?

They deal with alot of kids with disability events, I took my son there a couple of times. I was sitting in the downstairs hall section, when everyone was outside (last summer) and I heard as woman whispering and then a man replying. So I thought it was a worker or someone. I got up and headed in their direction and the whispering was still going, the sounded like they were behind a door and as I opened the door, no one was there! So, I thought I was going mad and shook it off.

Be a good place for an investigation!

I have a good look on the net and i can't find any other reports of things going on there, i have had a look at the history which seems to date back to the 16th century, so i guess that there would have been deaths in the house , ut as the house is owned by a charity at the moment it would be difficult to get in there .

@JoJoK

I don't want to play down your experience there, but some of those old buildings really have weird acoustics. Chimney systems, serving lifts, long corridors etc... all this can create weird sound effects and it can well be that one can hear a clear conversation seemingly from nowhere, when it's actually taking part one floor below.
Whether you experience was due to that effect or whether it was actually something paranormal.... I don't think we will ever find it out.

Even if there are no official reports about hauntings about Ufton Court, that doesn't have to say anything. As Ian said, a place that old and steeped with all sorts of history is always a promising location.

One way to get in a location like that, is organizing a charity ghost hunt for their benefit in their own building.
But on the other hand... they have kids there, don't they? The last thing they would want is the reputation of a haunted place which might scare the kids.

Greetz,
Hella

It's used as a 'charity event place', if I remb rightly, one team did hold a charity event years ago but can't remb who. or it might have beena spiritual night, my memory flags a lot.

Arwen, I agree with the acousitcs, just a wierd experience, like chasing your own tale lol!
