It may be 5 minutes in the spotlight for them, but once they are exposed as fakes and fakers then their evidence will never be taken seriously again.
It is the fakers that have to live with their shame knowing that what they do is affecting serious study.
Fakers are exposed every day and their name is mud in many areas. Once they are muddied then it is very hard for them to get involved in their respected field/s again.
I say, let them fake...let them make fraudulent claims.. and let us expose them and prove their faking habbits and kick them when they're down. We work hard to find the truth, we shouldn't let someone spoil our efforts with just ten minutes on a computer or a few seconds faking EVP's and/or attempting to set up a ghostly video capture.
The thing is, we learn who the fakers are and we learn to spot the faked data. We can spot it a mile off.
