| The baths were set up in a different location in Swindon, to commemorate the medical services of Great Western Railway (GWR) Medical Fund. They were moved to their present location when the Turkish baths were added in 1868. At first they were built for the railway workers and their families, but over time have continued to develop to meet with the current demand and to be used by other people. There have been many reports of paranormal activity at the baths including, banging doors, voices, loud bangs, footsteps and apparitions. | |
