| Private Case (Devonport Plymouth)
Location: Devonport , Plymouth
Type of haunt: Unknown
Prelim visit : 24.09.09
After receiving a call from the clients father reporting that they are having regular activity in the two bedroom flat , i made a prelim visit on the 24th Sept .
The activity that has been reported seems to be happening from September onwards and builds up to Christmas this includes Large temp changes a hand print that appeared on a chair , this hand print was a very large one , a hand print has been seen on the carpet in the childrens bedroom and on the wall in the childrens bedroom , this one was wet and it was described as being of an oily texture , and most recently there has been ectoplasm or a kind of mist move through the living room , this is the incident that prompted the father to ring G.P.S
After entering the two bedroom flat i realised that there was a deadly silence in all the rooms that sort of silence that presses on your head , there was a constant temperature of about 18C in all the rooms ,and all the heating was turned off , i had a basic reading of about 0,2 milligauss through out the whole flat.
The first room i entered was the childrens bedroom which consisted of two single beds, two wardrobes, a computer table with a desktop computer that was turned off and a play corner with an array of toys including soft toys and some battery operated toys .
There have been several things happening in this room including temp changes a hand print that has appeared on the carpet and a hand print that has appeared on the wall , the hand print that appeared on the wall was wet , the father described it as having an oily texture to it there has also been a ticking sound that has been heard in the wardrobe which has increased in volume the nearer they got to the wardrobe , at one point it was so distracting that they shouted at it to stop , it started to tick faster then stopped .
After spending some time in this room armed with my gaussmaster , K2 and Dictaphone , i got a couple of strange spikes on the K2 that seemed to come from the wardrobe , but that was about it , so i was stood there with the talking to the client asking questions , and he mentioned the grandfather as he mentioned him i got a huge spike on the K2 and the gaussmaster which i found very interesting , so i asked him to mention him again and sure enough it spiked again , which leads me to belive could this be the grandfather that passed away years ago .
With that we moved in to the living room where reports of a large hand print on the chair and the latest incident with the mist or ectoplasm had taken place , i had no fluctuations at all in this room , but it seemed more friendly and welcoming than the other room .
There has been another report of a little girl that has been seen in the flat , the present tenant has a mobile phone picture where a streak of hair can be soon moving away from the camera i will be looking at the picture at a later date , this little girl has been seen by the previous tenant as well , she caught her son talking to an imaginary friend in his bedroom , he also described her as having blond hair .
Could there be more than one spirit in this flat , we will be investigating very soon. | |

| Research results Private Case, Devonport, PlymouthThere are plenty of reports about the area, where our client lives. The first settlements of Plymouth itself are located at Maidenhead, dating back to the Bonze Age. Plymouth has always been a harbour and a trading point. The actual docks, including Devonport were expanded under Sir Francis Drake. In 1690 the first dockyard, HMNB Devonport, opened on the banks of the Tamar and further docks were built in 1727, 1762 and 1793. In the 18th century new houses were built near the dock, called Plymouth Dock at the time, and a new town grew up. In 1712 there were 318 men employed and by 1733 it had grown to a population of 3,000 people. The city was heavily bombed by the Germans during World War II in a series of 59 raids known as the Plymouth Blitz. Although the dockyards were the principal targets, much of the city centre and over 3,700 houses were completely destroyed and more than 1,000 civilians lost their lives. The redevelopment of the city was planned by Sir Patrick Abercrombie in 1943 and by 1964 over 20,000 new homes had been built. The royal dockyards at HMNB Devonport were the main target in order to facilitate Nazi German domination during the Battle of the Atlantic. Despite this, civilian casualties were very high and the dockyards continued in operation. The first bombs fell on the city on Saturday 6 July 1940 at Swilly, killing 3 people. In early 1941, five raids reduced much of the city to rubble. The last attack came on 30 April 1944. During the 59 bombing attacks, 1,172 civilians were killed and 4,448 injured. The Devonport Dockyards were bombed in the night of April 21st/22nd 1941 and almost flattened. A lot of the Devonport victims were buried in mass graves on the Efford cemetery. Our research team wasn’t able to find any particular results about the address itself, only that the street had the same name. There were houses there, where the dock workers lived in. We were looking for any death records of a little girl living and dying there, but we didn’t have any luck at all, because no one knows her name. We will try to make her tell us her name on EVP or maybe through the Ovilus, so that we might have something to get going on further research on this case. I will keep you updated, Hella | |
