The nun was the brother of phillip whitehean a cashier and was executed in 1811 for forgery.
The nun Sarah wearing black waited for him for 40 years until she died.
To this day it said she still searches the platfroms for her brother.

Covent Garden
A tall man in a frock coat and gloves is said to be seen pacing the tunnles and has been since the 1950s he appeared in the ladys loo scraring the staff.
The Ghost is supposed to be William Trerriss an actor from the Adelphi theatre fatally stabbed.
Aparently he visited the bakers shop which stood where todays tube station was built.

That documentary is fantastic, thanks so much for posting the link. Many of the haunted locations are a stone's throw from where I live, Kennington Loop and Island Place I pass over every day. How I wish I had access to these places in the nightime.

Anybody fancy a job as a trackwalker? affraid

Some time ago I went down through the east london tunnel as part of a trip to Brunel's museum on the open house day.
We were permitted to take some walkable routes in parts of the station where public access is forbidden. The tunnel itself was first used as a walk through connection under the Thames and the recessed archways would have been filled with prostitutes and stallholders plying their wares. We were taken through the tunnel towards Wapping on a train that went slowly so that we could view the architecture.
