PostSubject: Pluckley village   Fri Feb 15, 2008 8:00 am

Pluckley village a small village in kent is supossed to be one of the most, if not the most haunted village in Great Britain.
Many of pluckley´s houses and cottages claim to be haunted , but the most famous of them are the black horse pub, screaming wood and Saint Nicholas church and graveyard .

In the Black horse the ghost of a local bailiff has been seen sat in the pub with his two dogs watching over things , or the little girl by the fireplace has been heard laughing , shadows have also been seen in the local pub.

Screaming wood is a truly eerie place to be, at night if you enter the woods you can hear screams and heavy footsteps approaching not a place to go alone.

But the most famous is Saint Nicholas' Church and graveyard. The ghost of 'Red Lady Derring' has been seen wandering the graveyard, and the chapel where she rests has been subject to unexplained knocks and bangs. The churchyard is also home to a ghostly white lady and a phantom white dog.
